Need Help With Employee Engagement?

Leaders often lose sight of the fact that employees that are happy and engaged in the workplace, can give the company an edge over the competition.
There is a lot of waste in time, materials and resources in all organizations.
If managers aren't aware of this, or are not proactive, productivity and therefore profits are affected.
The most expensive yet valuable resource of any organization is it's employees..
it's talent.
The top talent, that is the hardest working and highest producing individuals are very important to the success of any organization.
An engaged employee displays the following characteristics: 1.
They want to do the work 2.
They care about the quality of the end product 3.
They like what they are doing 4.
They want the company to succeed and will often go the extra mile 5.
They believe their work makes a difference to the company So how does an organization go about inspiring their work force? It's not always about more money and it's not about setting up a system of rules and regulations that stifle productivity.
Too many strict policies for doing the work with no room for creativity or thinking outside of the box, drives employees to simply do the work required, and leave at the end of the day with no interest in helping the company succeed.
Good leaders inspire their employees to perform at their best and feel that they do make a difference.
How can a leader inspire employee engagement? 1.
Make the connection Managers need to make the employee feel valued.
If an employee knows their boss really cares about them, they become vested in their bosses and departments success.
They work harder knowing they make a difference to the bottom line.
2.
Provide Career Advancement Top talent and highly creative, high productivity employees need to have a clear path to advance within the organization.
They truly care about their work, know they make a difference and need an outlet for continued growth.
3.
Congratulate Too often leaders call employees in only when there is a problem.
It's extremely important to provide positive feedback when a job is well-done.
It's such a small thing to do, but the return in terms of employee satisfaction and productivity is phenomenal.
4.
Promote Employee Contribution If an employee feels that their ideas and opinions matter their job performance is directly affected.
Good leaders promote feedback from their employees and make them feel they are a huge part of the companies success.
