Awesome Things to Make With Duct Tape

    Hair Clips

    • Using a polystyrene ball and some colored duct tape, you can create cute and unique hair clips. The polystyrene ball should be cut in half. Choose the animal that you would like to make, and purchase duct tape in colors that fit that animal. The duct tape should be cut into strips and layered over the polystyrene ball to create your animal. Once you have finished layering the duct tape, add details like eyes or wings. The polystyrene ball can then be hot glued onto a hair pin.

    Duct Tape Rose

    • Creating a beautiful rose from duct tape is surprisingly easy. A straight straw will form the stem -- cut the bendy part off and wrap the straw in green duct tape. Cut 2-inch strips off of another color of duct tape such as blue, pink, yellow or red. For the petals, fold the top two corners into the center of the tape to form a pointed center, like a house, that leaves about 1 inch of tape left at the bottom. Stick this piece onto the stem. Recreate this process in layers until you form a large enough rose. It may take between 15 and 20 "petals."

    Tape Totes

    • The fabric of tote bags can be created by sticking two equal lengths of duct tape together so that the sticky sides are together. Make enough of these strips to make your tote, and fuse them together with another strip of duct tape on either side that covers half of each strip. Once you have formed a long piece of duct tape fabric, fold it in half and stick another piece of duct tape along the seams, both inside and out. You now have the body of your tote. The handles of your bag should be created by sticking two pieces of tape together for one strip, then repeating the action for the second one. To finish, attach the handles onto the bag securely.

    Wallets

    • Duct tape fabric for wallets can be made by cutting two strips of duct tape, one larger than the other, and sticking them together so that a little bit of tape is exposed on either side. Use small pieces of this fabric to create card pockets, then attach these pockets to a larger piece of duct tape fabric. Using two pieces of shaped cardboard, you can create a sturdy backboard for your wallet. Cover these pieces with duct tape on either side, cutting off the extra. Then, stick them together with a long piece of duct tape so that the wallet bends. Fuse your wallet together into one piece with more duct tape to finish.
