- 1). Clean the tiled area with abrasive household cleanser and water on a washcloth, to take up any surface dirt. Rinse thoroughly. Leave it wet.
- 2). In a cup, mix oxygen bleach powder with water. Stir with your spoon, adding powder and water until you have a full cup of thick paste, about the consistency of oatmeal.
- 3). With your rubber spatula, wipe the oxygen bleach paste directly onto the grout lines, forming a thick layer. Cover all the lines completely.
- 4). Let the paste stay on the lines for 30 minutes. If the paste dissipates or is absorbed into the grout at any spot, add more paste, so the line remains covered.
- 5). Scrub the paste into the grout with your toothbrush. Apply a second layer of paste over the lines. Let it stand for another 30 minutes.
- 6). Rinse the grout thoroughly.
