Instructions for a Norelco 8260XL
- 1). Charge the Norelco 8260XL before first use. Place the charging stand on a sturdy surface in an upright position. Slide the razor into the stand, making sure to align the indentations on the bottom of the razor with the charging contacts in the bottom of stand. Connect the power cord to the base of the unit, then plug the cord into an electrical outlet. Allow the razor to charge for a minimum of four hours.
- 2). Remove the razor from the stand by lifting it straight up, making sure not to tilt the razor. Wash your face thoroughly to soften the facial hair, allowing the razor to cut the hair more easily. Stand in front of a mirror. This will assist you while shaving.
- 3). Press the "On/Off" button to turn the razor on. Apply the Norelco to your face to begin shaving. Move the razor in straight lines as well as in circular movements. Shave against the direction of your hair growth for best results.
- 4). Stretch your facial skin gently with your free hand for the hard to reach hairs.
Gently glide the Norelco over the skin to shave the area. Do not press hard, as this can cause pinching. - 5). Push the trimmer switch on the back edge of the shaver to pop out the trimmer in order to groom sideburns, mustaches and other hard to reach areas. Hold the trimmer's blades over the farthest edge of the facial hair you want to trim. Move the razor in downward strokes with gentle pressure. Press the trimmer down when you are finished to close it. Turn the Norelco 8260XL "Off".
- 6). Clean the razor after each use. Press the "Razor Head Release" button under the front edge of the razor and flip open the razor head assembly. Gently tap the shaver against the inside rim of the sink wall to release the collected shavings. Run the opened blade compartment under hot water to clean it out, then run the outside of the razor head assembly under the hot water. Close the head assembly and gently shake off the excess water. Open the razor head assembly again and leave it open to air dry.
- 7). Close the razor head assembly when completely dry. Put the protective razor head cap on the shaver to protect razor heads.
