How to Convert MSV to REM
- 1). Enter into your calculator the numerical value of the radiation dose, in units of mSv. For example, if you were converting the 0.1 mSv dose associated with a chest X-ray, you would enter 0.1.
- 2). Divide the value you just entered by 10. This is the conversion factor between mSv and rem.
- 3). Report the value of your calculation as the radiation dose in units of rem. For the example of the chest X-ray, you would calculate 0.1 divided by 10 to obtain a reported value of 0.01 rem.
