How to Use Garlic to Get Rid of Mosquitoes

- 1). Mix crushed garlic or garlic powder into water. The more garlic you add, the more effective your repellant. However, if you use more than a few pinches of garlic, expect the spray solution to give off a pungent odor. If you prefer to use a store-bought spray, some stores sell natural garlic sprays.
- 2). Spritz the garlicky water on your skin.
- 3). Spray garlic around the perimeter of your campsite, garage or home. Mosquitoes can't stand garlic, and spraying directly on nearby surfaces will deter large swarms of mosquitoes. The spray also wards off fleas and ticks.
