What to Do After You Get Jagd Helje in "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance?"
- In the “Final Fantasy Tactics” series, a jagd is a piece of land that operates outside the normal rules of Ivalice, which is a recurring world setting. In “Final Fantasy Tactics Advance,” battles fought in a jagd have no judge. This means heroes will not get red cards or yellow cards for law violations. It also means that you cannot resurrect any character killed in a jagd outside the battle in which the death occurs.
- After you complete Mission 20, “Present Day,” in the main storyline, you gain access to Mission 57, “Prison Break.” This side mission requires you to fight two defenders and two templars to help a character get out of prison. Upon completing the mission, you receive 7,000 gil, two random cards and the Helje Key. You can use the Helje Key to complete Mission 64, “Den of Evil.” After winning “Den of Evil,” you receive the symbol for Jagd Helje, giving your clan access to this area.
- After you gain access to Jagd Helje, you can continue with the main storyline or perform several missions inside this area. These include Mission 29, “Wanted!,” in which you must defeat a female assassin and her lackeys; and Mission 95, “Carrot!,” in which you must fight Carrot, a devil marlboro monster that a townsperson has been keeping as a pet. This quest requires the rusty spear.
- Liberating the jagds occurs outside of the main storyline. While you gain access to Jagd Helje and the other Jagd areas fairly early in the game, they are not fully liberated until you finish the primary “Final Fantasy Tactics Advance” story. You can then liberate Jagd Dorsa in Mission 261, “Jagd Dorsa.” This mission gives you access to Mission 260, “Jagd Helje,” in which you free this region. Upon fully liberating Jagd Helje, you get access to Mission 259, “Jagd Ahli,” allowing you to free the last of the jagd areas.
