Put a napkin over your plate

It might sound strange, but this is a psychological trick. Crumple your napkin and throw it over your plate when you think you've eaten enough food.

That will confuse your brain and make you think you've had enough food, which coincidentally you did. This way you will stop yourself from taking too much calories.

Put up a picture of yourself

Frame a picture of yourself when you were at your heaviest, and put it above the fridge. That way, any time you want to eat or drink something, you will get a surge of motivation to avoid that meal, as bite by bite, you might end up like you were all that time ago.

Wear skinny clothes

I have no idea why this works, but it does. When you wear lose clothes your body tends to get bigger, but when you wear thither jeans or use a belt and tighten it so it is slightly uncomfortable, you will start losing weight.

It is likely because your subconscious will think that you have to lose some pounds because you will not be able to fit your clothes otherwise.

Hypnotize yourself

Hypnosis is something that works for many people. It is a fairly simple means to get yourself relaxed, follow the hypnotists voice and accept his suggestions about staying true to your diet and exercise regime. Weird, but it works.

Laugh

When you laugh you tighten your abs, and plus it is good for your heart. If you don't find anything funny at the moment, force it! No one is watching, and your brain is not capable of telling the difference between the fake laugh and a sincere one. Do not do this at social gatherings as people will think you are weird, but nothing's stopping you when you are home alone.

Drink more tea

Drink more tea, preferably with no sugar. Not because it's healthy or cheap, but rather because drinks like coke or iced tea or apple juice are filled with calories. Just dropping those drinks will likely help you lose a ton of weight in a matter of a few months.
