How to Program a Radio Shack 200 Channel Entry Scanner
- 1). Locate the frequency that you wish to program into your Radio Shack 200 channel scanner. You can do this by searching through available frequencies using your scanner or referring to a frequency directory that you can find at your local library or purchase from a book store or the Radio Shack where you purchased your scanner. You will need to know the exact frequency in order to program it into your scanner's memory.
- 2). Press the "Manual" button. This will begin the programming process. Use the number buttons in the center of the Radio Shack scanner to enter in the number corresponding to the channel number you want to program. You can store up to 200 numbers.
- 3). Press the "Prog" button once you enter in the digits that comprise the channel number you want to program. The "PGM" symbol will appear on the display screen, indicating that you can enter in the frequency you want to store into the device.
- 4). Use the number pad again to enter in the number corresponding to the frequency you want to program into this channel. This number must match the frequency exactly, including the decimal point. Press the "E" button to save your frequency to the selected channel. To store another frequency, repeat the process, selecting a different channel number and inserting the next desired frequency.
- 5). Press the "Manual" button again followed by the channel number that you wish to recall after you have finished the programming process to access the frequencies you have programmed.
