Learn How to Do It: The Two-Strand Twist Mohawk
- 1). Use a comb to create three sections of hair, one that runs along the top and back of your head from a point beginning just behind your temples, and two sections that run on each side of your head. Use a clip to fasten the top section in place.
- 2). Create cornrow braids along each side section by taking a small width of hair and dividing it into three equal widths. Braid the three sections four times, then use your index finger to begin adding more hair to the braid as you cross the strands. Continue adding hair until the cornrow braid is complete and secure as necessary with a bead or elastic hair band. Repeat this process until each of the side sections of hair is styled into multiple cornrow braids.
- 3). Remove the clip from the top section of hair and use a comb to create a 1-inch section of hair. Use your fingers to separate the section into two equally sized strands of hair, then cross one strand over the other until the entire length of hair is twisted together like a rope. Repeat this process until all the hair from the top and back of your head is twisted.
- 4). Push the twisted strands up and together to create a slight mohawk look when finished.
