Carly Flips Out
Carly looks at the mockup cover of Crimson, with Brenda on the cover, which Maxie has brought in to show Jax. Then Carly goes into orbit and turns on Jax. He arranged this, she says. He fantasized about Brenda while they were making love. Brenda is his perfect woman. Well, all she gave him was pain - she's given him a child! Jax denies everything except the part about the child, but Carly tears out of there.
Furious, she stops in at Jake's. There, she states her position: She's not giving up any man to Brenda, nor will she share any man. Not Jax, not Sonny, and not Jason! This should be fun.
Jax attempts to persuade Kate to drop Brenda from the cover, but Kate says NO. After all, it's his idea, and it will be good for business. Jax accuses Kate of wanting Brenda on the cover because she knows it upsets Carly. Kate doesn't exactly cop to that, but she does say that Brenda is the kind of woman that Jax should be with - not Carly. Especially with her face that shade of green - it doesn't go well with his tan.
Sonny and Johnny Agree to a Truce; Johnny Changes His Statement; Sonny is Free to Seduce Claire
Dante has gotten Johnny and Sonny in the same room in the hopes that they will broker a truce. Now he watches them talking from the outside. Claire enters PCPD and spots them. She asks them what the hell they're doing. Johnny says he is changing his statement; he did indeed have a gun, and Sonny shot him in self-defense.
Claire is surprised and agrees that Sonny is free to leave as soon as his paperwork is completed. He invites her to his place for dinner to celebrate. She accepts. After dinner, the two start kissing. Hey, it's only a matter of time.
Olivia too wants to know what's going on when Johnny exits the interrogation room, and Johnny takes her extreme relief to mean that she's glad Sonny is in the clear. Olivia screams at him that she's happy that he's not going to jail. He keeps walking out. Dante informs Lulu of what happened, and Lulu is happy. Dante didn't compromise himself to help his father. Dante isn't completely satisfied, because he thinks that he nearly did.
Sam and Jason Plan a Trip to Greece, but Jason is Summoned to Rome
Sam and Jason are planning a trip to Greece when Jason takes a call from Suzanne. Jason is listed as Brenda's emergency contact, and this is an emergency. Jason asks her to send him an email with details. He hangs up and tells Sam they have to put their trip on hold. Knowing that he will go to Brenda, Sam does her best to be supportive. But despite the fact that she knowshow much Jason loves her, Sam is not only disappointed. She's worried. And it doesn't help that Spinelli is completely ga-ga over Brenda either.
Action at Jake's: Kate/Coleman; Patrick-Lisa-Robin; Robin-Steve
Kate visits Jake's and presents Coleman with presents she purchased for him in Europe. When Patrick comes in, he spots Lisa, and Coleman warns him away from her. Patrick states that he knows what he's doing. He joins Lisa and whines about Robin's rejection of him. Lisa is loving it and continues to reiterate that his breakup is for the best. Robin walks up to the table and confronts him. Lisa reminds Robin that the marriage is over.
When Steve stops in for a drink, Robin joins him and asks him to play along with her and act interested. He reluctantly goes along, and, on seeing them, Lisa mentions to Patrick that Robin is trying to make him jealous. Lisa murmurs that she wishes that she could be with Patrick that evening, but it would be revenge sex, and she doesn't want that. Patrick somehow keeps from revealing his true feelings.
Brenda Breaks Her Engagement and Murphy's Heart
In Rome, Brenda explains to Murphy that she can't marry him. She's not free to love him as much as he deserves to be loved. She still carries feelings for someone else. Murphy is devastated, arguing that he doesn't need an all or nothing type love. But Brenda holds firm. After he leaves, Suzanne arrives, and Brenda announces that she wants to continue working and traveling for Cartullo. She agrees to guards. Suzanne isn't that even with more guards, it's a good idea.
