- 1). Use a butter knife to remove any excess sauce.
- 2). Turn the garment inside out, and rinse the back side of the stain under cold water.
- 3). Turn the garment right side out, and pour a small amount of laundry detergent on the stain. Use your fingers to work the detergent into the fabric.
- 4). Rinse the detergent out of the garment. Pour white vinegar onto the cloth, and blot (don't rub) at the stain. Rinse the vinegar out of the garment, and again, blot at the stain with more vinegar. Do this until the stain is no longer visible.
- 5). Apply more detergent to the stain, and rinse well. If the stain is still visible, you can pour a small amount of detergent on the garment and let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse well.
