- 1). Put on rubber gloves and mix one part trisodium phosphate with three parts water in a bucket.
- 2). Scrub over the leaking area of your aluminum boat thoroughly with the mixture on the outside and inside of the boat, then rinse with plain water and allow to air dry.
- 3). Cut the end off a tube of marine adhesive sealant with a utility knife, then poke a hole in the nose of the tube using the poker on a caulk gun.
- 4). Fit the tube of marine adhesive sealant into the caulk gun and apply a liberal coat of marine adhesive sealant to the leak on your aluminum boat on both the inside and outside.
- 5). Let the marine adhesive sealant dry as long as the manufacturer directs, then place your aluminum boat in the water to ensure the leak has been sealed.
