Popeil 400 Pasta Machine Instructions
- 1). Open the mixing lid of the P400 pasta machine. Pour 2 leveled off cups of flour into the mixing bin. Close the mixing bin lid.
- 2). Choose the type and shape of pasta you want to make. Submerge the relevant pasta shaping die you want to use in hot water for one minute. Place the warmed die on the front of the P400 pasta machine, and secure it with the included locking ring.
- 3). Pour 1 to 2 tbsp. of olive or vegetable oil into the round measuring cup that comes with the P400 Pasta Machine. You can also use any mixing bowl to do this. Add 3/4 to 1 cup of water to the oil. Also add an optional one egg to the liquids to enrich the noodles. Mix the liquid elements thoroughly with a fork or small wire whisk.
- 4). Push the switch on the P400 pasta machine to MIX, and add the liquid by pouring slowly through the opening on the lid of the mixing bin. Blend the flour and liquid for four minutes. Push the switch to STOP when the dough is sufficiently mixed. Turn off the pasta machine motor.
- 5). Switch the P400 Pasta Machine function from MIX to Extrude (EXT). Watch your pasta come out the front of the machine. Cut it off at desired lengths with cooking shears or table knife. You can also use the plastic cutting attachment that comes with the pasta machine.
- 6). Prepare the fresh pasta .Bring 4 to 6 quarts of salted water to boiling. Fresh pasta cooks in about half the time of store-bought dried pasta. Angel hair and other thin noodles cook in 30 seconds, spaghetti cooks in one minute, and macaroni cooks in 1.5 to two minutes,
