How to Clean an Herb Grinder

    • 1). Take apart the herb grinder by unscrewing and separating all of the pieces. Empty out the very bottom portion of the grinder that collects the tiny particles from the herbs if your grinder is equipped with this piece.

    • 2). Use a toothbrush to dry brush each of the pieces. Do this over a trash can to control the mess from the herbs.

    • 3). Fill a container, large enough to hold the herb grinder, with isopropyl alcohol. Be sure the alcohol has a concentration of 90% or higher. Do not use PVC or plastic containers, as they can release dangerous chemicals when exposed to alcohol.

    • 4). Place each piece of the herb grinder into the container of alcohol. Allow the pieces to soak for 5 to 10 minutes.

    • 5). Use a cotton swab to clean the crevices of each piece of the herb grinder. Use a toothbrush to brush the screen on the bottom portion of the grinder.

    • 6). Rinse each part of the herb grinder under hot tap water. Lay the parts on a clean towel.

    • 7). Blot the pieces dry with a towel, and then allow them to air dry completely before reassembling the herb grinder.
