      Gillinder Glass, a family-owned glass factory, is located in Port Jervis, near the Pennsylvania border. It specializes in industrial and commercial specialty glass, and offers guided tours of the plant. The tour includes views of glass craftsmen at work near the large furnaces, the formation of glass into beautiful artwork, and the glass museum. As of September 2010, the daily tours are $10 per person.

      The Proctor's Theatre, located in Schenectady, has a long history that dates back to the 1920s. Formerly a movie palace and a venue for shows, it is now a multi-million dollar facility with an expanded backstage to accommodate large-scale musical productions. Recent seasons have included the touring groups of the "Phantom of the Opera" and "The Lion King." It offers informative guided tours of the theater, backstage and dressing rooms. As of September 2010, the free tours are offered one Friday per month and lasts approximately two hours.

It culminates in a complimentary tasting of its award-winning Belgian-style ales. As of September 2010, tours are offered daily.
