How to Get Food Coloring Out of the Furniture

    • 1). Pour 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap into a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. Mix in 2 cups of cold water and stir the ingredients together with a spoon to create a cleaning solution.

    • 2). Soak a clean terry cloth into the bowl's cleaning solution, and tamp the cleaner-soaked cloth onto the stain.

    • 3). Blot the saturated stain with a clean terry cloth dampened with cleaning solution every five minutes until the solution has set into the stain for 30 minutes.

    • 4). Wet a new terry cloth with cold water and blot the stain to rinse off the vinegar and dish soap.

    • 5). Blot the spot dry with a new terry cloth and pour 1 tablespoon of rubbing alcohol onto the cloth.

    • 6). Tamp the stain with the alcohol-dampened cloth, and rinse off the stain with the water-dampened cloth.

    • 7). Blot the area until all moisture is eliminated from the furniture.
