How to Build a Goat Barn for My Nigerian Goats

    • 1). Select a location for the barn. Ideally the land will be flat and clear of rocks and other debris.

    • 2). Nail together four 2-by-10 boards to form the frame base in a rectangle form.

    • 3). Construct frames using the other 2-by-10, framing the sides and slanting the roof so that rain can easily run off. Leave an opening approximately 3 feet wide and 6 feet high for the door.

    • 4). Nail sheets of plywood over the frame to form walls.

    • 5). Lay roofing tin over the top and secure it to the roof beams with nails.

    • 6). Screw in the hinges. Attach the door to the hinges.

    • 7). Attach an eye hook and spring latch to lock the goats in. Attach another spring latch inside the door to hang a water bucket.
