- 1). Blot up as much of the grease as possible as soon as the spill happens by placing one paper towel on the underside of the clothing, and blot with another on top of the clothing.
- 2). Rinse the fabric with warm water for 30 seconds on each side of the stain. Begin with the underside of the grease spot, and then turn the fabric over.
- 3). Pour a small amount of mild detergent on the stain. The amount is relative to the size of the stain, but you need enough detergent to cover the stain when spread out.
- 4). Rub the detergent around and allow the fabric to sit for at least 10 minutes. Do not exceed 30 minutes.
- 5). Rinse the stain with water again, as described in Step 2. Spray the fabric with laundry stain remover and let the fabric sit for another 10 minutes.
- 6). Wash as usual, and repeat this process until the stain is gone.
