How to Clean Spots From Drinking Glasses
- 1). Buy a bottle of CLR from your local grocery store. Put on a pair of rubber kitchen gloves. Pour the CLR into a large pot and slowly warm it over the stove (do not boil). If your glasses will fit in the pot, you do not need to pour the CLR into another container. If you dilute the CLR with some warm water, it will diminish some of the strong odor.
- 2). Place a glass into the warm CLR. Let it soak for at least 5 minutes (10 for harder spots), and then remove the glass. Rinse the glass in clean water while scrubbing the spots off with a sponge. After all of the spots have been cleaned off, use a towel to hand-dry the glass.
- 3). Repeat the process for every glass that has spots. When you're finished, you can pour the CLR down the drain of a kitchen sink or bathtub. Clean the pot with soap and water, and either use a towel to hand-dry it or leave it one a rack or towel to air dry. Avoid washing your newly cleaned glasses in the dishwasher, try to only wash and dry them by hand.
