- 1). Avoid dropping or hitting the magnetic jewelry on a hard surface, as this can reduce the magnetism or remove it altogether.
- 2). Clean your jewelry by wiping it with a wet cloth and mild soap, rinse it well in water, and allow to air dry. Do not clean your jewelry in a jewelry cleaning machine because this can also jar the magnetism out of the metal. Do not clean your jewelry with jewelry cleaner. This can also corrode the magnets.
- 3). Clean tarnished copper magnets with a brass or metal cleaner.
- 4). Take off your jewelry before swimming in a chlorinated pool or in salt water. Chlorine and salt can corrode the metal the magnets are made of.
