How to Install an Andersen Patio Door Roller

    • 1). Slide the operable patio door panel to the middle of the frame and retract the roller assemblies at each side of the door bottom. Look for the roller adjustment screw through a small opening about 1 inch above the door bottom on the door's edge.

    • 2). Remove the patio door's operable panel by lifting the panel upward to free the bottom rollers from the track, swing the bottom of the door outward and lower it to extract it from the top track channel.

    • 3). Rest the door panel on either side edge with the roller you are replacing facing upward.

    • 4). Loosen and remove the roller assembly retaining screw from the door bottom using a screwdriver.

    • 5). Pull the old roller assembly from the door bottom mortise using needle nose pliers.

    • 6). Retract the wheels on the new roller assembly by turning the adjustment screw counterclockwise until fully extended.

    • 7). Insert the new roller assembly into the bottom mortise and align the retainer screw tab. Secure the assembly to the door using the screw removed in Step 4 using a screwdriver.

    • 8). Repeat Steps 3 through 7 to replace the roller assembly on the other side of the door panel.

    • 9). Reinstall the door panel into the door frame. Stand the door panel upright next to the door frame. Lift the top of the panel into the top track channel, allow the bottom to swing inward until the rollers align with the lower track channel and lower the door onto the track.
