How to Put on the Water Slide Decals for a Macross Model
- 1). Lay your finished and painted Macross model on your work space and turn to the page for decal location in your model's manual. Read over the different locations and become familiar with what decal will go where before working on anything.
- 2). Cut one decal from the decal sheet. Start with the larger decals first, working down to the smaller ones. Locate the position using the number identifier on the decal sheet and manual.
- 3). Dry fit the decal you cut out. This will help you move quickly and lessen the chance of a mistake. Dip your finger into the dish of water. Dab the water onto the location you will place the decal so it's a little damp.
- 4). Place the decal you cut out in the dish of water and let it sit until the decal can be slipped around on the surface of the paper backing of the decal. Place the decal on the location you will place it. Lightly place your finger on the decal and slowly slip the backing out from under it.
- 5). Dab the excess water with your lint-free cloth. Try to not press too hard as it may lift the decal back off. Repeat steps 2 through 5 until you have placed all the decals on to the Macross model.
