- 1). Remove your shirt and soak it in cold water immediately, agitating the shirt with your hand in the water.
- 2). Blot the stain with cold water immediately if you cannot remove your shirt at the time of the accident. If this doesn't get the stain out, mix soap, such as dishwasher detergent, with water and apply the mixture to the stain.
- 3). Wash your shirt in warm water and then rinse it. If the stain remains, soak your shirt for another half hour in cold water and then launder it again.
- 1). Scrape away as much of the dried blood from the shirt as possible with your fingernail.
- 2). Mix detergent or an enzyme presoak product designed to remove stains with cold water and allow your shirt to soak for 30 minutes.
- 3). Wash your shirt in warm water and then rinse it. If the stain remains, soak your shirt for another half hour in cold water and then launder it again.
