- 1). Search for a bedroom dresser mirror in a thrift shop. Choose a dresser with one large mirror. Alternatively, one that comes with several mirrored sections creates a framed mirror collection in your entryway.
- 2). Remove all the dresser bracket hardware holding the mirror in place with a screwdriver. Detach any other supports such as wooden posts. Patch any holes in the mirror frame with wood filler.
- 3). Sand down the mirror's frame with sandpaper to remove any old varnish.
- 4). Cover over the mirror with painter's tape. Prime the frame with two coats of spray primer and let dry.
- 5). Paint the frame with spray paint in white, gold or the color that goes best in your entryway. Allow it to completely dry.
- 6). Attach a heavy-duty picture hook or a D-ring hanger to the top rear of the mirror with a screwdriver. Weigh the mirror and compare it to the weight recommendations for the hook.
