TV Brackets - Getting the Right Measurements

There are many models and types of TV brackets in the market place which are elegant in design and color schemes that you might get misled into buying a beautiful TV wall bracket but with the improper specifications for mounting your LCD TV.
Getting the right measurements of your TV is essential before buying a TV bracket.
When buying a TV wall bracket, your first consideration is its capability to hold the television in place firmly and securely in place.
You don't want your television falling down and getting damaged because the brackets gave way from the weight and size of the television set.
The weight and size of the TV can be easily derived from the specifications page in the instruction manual or from the manufacturer.
Provide some allowance on the load when choosing the type of bracket that can carry the TV.
They come in different sub-types varying based on the ranges for the weight load and the size of the television.
Although most TV manufacturers follow the VESA specifications with regards to the mount holes on the back of the TV, there are instances when slight deviations in the distances of the holes occur because some use centimeters while others use inches.
The ideal step is to get a measuring tape and measure the distance between the vertical and horizontal holes.
These holes are the mounting holes which will be fixed on the TV brackets.
Be careful when you set down the television.
Use a soft cloth to lay the television face down while you measure the back.
Do not lay the TV on the floor or a hard surface as the screen could get scratched.
When you choose the right type, measure the holes on the TV bracket and compare it against the measurements taken from the back of the television.
Ideally, it should be a perfect fit between the mounting holes on the TV and the TV bracket.
If there is any deviation, check on the significance of the deviation and determine if it will affect adversely the mounting of the television on the bracket.
Unfortunately, distributors will not provide any warranties if the TV brackets are not meant for the specific TV brand and model, so you should be careful in acquiring any type that does not fit exactly on the TV.
When you select the type of TV bracket, whether it is fixed, tilting or articulating, always make sure the measurements from the back of the TV match perfectly the TV wall bracket.
Measurements are very important aspects and should not be sacrificed because of features, design and color schemes.
Knowing the precise measurements of your TV will allow you to buy the perfect TV bracket.
