How to Replace a Broken Knob on a GE Profile JP389 Stove
- 1). Turn off the cooktop breaker in your home's electrical service panel.
- 2). Grasp the damaged knob, and pull it straight off the infinite switch. If the knob will not move, wrap thin-gauged wire around the base of the knob, and then use the wire to pry the knob off the infinite switch.
- 3). Align the grooves on the hole on the rear of the new knob with the notches on the infinite switch post, and then press the knob onto the post until it is fully installed.
