How to Get Rid of Mildew on Clapboard
- 1). Put on eye protection, gloves, and clothing you wouldn't mind getting bleach stains on.
- 2). Mix one part liquid chlorine bleach with three parts water in a bucket or spray bottle. The amount you need will depend on the area you are cleaning. You can start with one cup of bleach and three cups of water and mix more later, if you want a smaller bucket or bottle to carry around.
- 3). Apply the bleach and water mixture to the mildew. Use a soft brush or cloth to wipe it on.
- 4). Allow the bleach mixture to dry thoroughly. Then rinse it off with clean water.
- 5). Follow this cleaning procedure once a year, or whenever mildew starts growing again.
