How to Remove a Crimp Clamp

- 1). Turn off the power supply for the appliance containing the crimped hose clamp. For example, shut the fluid source to a hose or set a vehicle to "Park."
- 2). Apply a small amount of degreaser to a rag. Clean the area around the crimp clamp with the degreaser.
- 3). Position the wire cutters underneath the clamp. Insert the wire cutters under the clamp. Cut the clamp off the end of the hose by cutting small portions at a time. Work slowly so as to not damage the hose underneath the clamp.
- 4). Pull the clamp off the hose carefully with a pair of pliers.
