Back to the Wedding
Nathan arrives outside the K mansion. Just inside, Abe assumes there are no objections to the wedding and proceeds to move onto the vows.
Chloe doesn't appear to be feeling well and excuses herself. Abe asks Philip if he takes Melanie to be his lawfully wedded wife, and Philip says "I do." He asks if he will love, honor, and cherish her as long as they both shall live. "I will," responds Philip.
Chloe opens the door to find Nathan standing there. He asks if the wedding's over. She confirms that it's still going and asks what he's doing there.
Back inside, Abe asks Melanie if she takes Philip as her lawfully wedded husband. Melanie hesitates, and Philip asks if something's wrong. Meanwhile, Nathan tells Chloe he needs to talk to someone. Chloe wonders if this person would be the bride by any chance, implying that Melanie is sort of busy right now. She walks off not feeling well.
Meanwhile, Stephanie brings Melanie a glass of water. Steph flashes back to reading the letter from Melanie to Nathan. Melanie soon says "I do." Lucas brings Abe the ring. Philip places the ring on Melanie's finger as a token and pledge of his everlasting love. Melanie does the same with her ring to Philip. Abe pronounces Philip and Melanie husband and wife. Philip wishes Mrs. Kiriakis a Happy Valentine's Day, then kisses her. Everyone stands and applauds.
After the wedding ceremony, Arianna embraces Melanie while Stefano brings Kate champagne. Stefano notes that there's no sign of Vivian. Kate admits that it's lifted her spirits to think something terrible might've happened to Vivian. Lucas asks his mom if she's in good spirits even if the bride isn't in a coma yet. Stefano refers to Lucas's remark as mean-spirited and inappropriate. "Inappropriate? Unlike feeding people poisoned brownies?" he rehashes. Stefano suggests that Lucas go upstairs and play with the rest of the children. Lucas tells Stefano how lucky he is that he cares enough about Philip not to make a scene, then tells Kate to stay out of trouble. Kate thanks Stefano for being patient with Lucas. Stefano professes to love her.
Nathan is still outside the door. Maggie hugs Melanie inside and congratulates her. Melanie expresses how relieved she was to see Maggie there. Justin informs Philip that his brother Austin is on the phone. Maggie smiles how everything turned out perfectly, knowing Melanie had some doubts earlier. Melanie claims she didn't have any doubts. Maggie clarifies that she's talking about the weather, since there was an ice storm last night, but now there's hardly a cloud in the sky. Melanie recalls how she used to dream about having her mom at her wedding, crying how Maggie made that possible. They embrace. Vivian is out in the foyer, stating that she needs to get Melanie alone.

Rafe and Sami arrive, where she admits that she can't wait to bring Sydney there, recalling how she grew up there with the rest of the family. Rafe gets a call and proceeds to go upstairs to check Ari's computer, while Sami intends to fetch them some pie.
E.J. arrives and encounters Sami at the bar. He notes that she seems happy. She thinks she should tell him something. Rafe emerges and puts his arm around Sami, then asks where his pie is and gives her a brief kiss. E.J. concludes that they're back together. A beaming Sami says they're meant to be together. E.J. congratulates them. Sami continues to believe that Rafe will bring Sydney back to them. "I am sorry, Samantha, but that is not going to happen," E.J. declares. She wonders why he would say that. He accuses Rafe of saying whatever he can to get back into her life. Sami insists that this isn't true. Rafe asks what's wrong with E.J. and wonders if there's a reason E.J. doesn't want to get Sydney back. A defensive E.J. insists that he wants his daughter back. "How dare you suggest otherwise?" he accuses. Rafe gets a message from Gabi, who says it's an emergency.
After Rafe leaves, E.J. tells Sami they need to have a talk. Sami states that she has absolutely no interest in talking to E.J., since he's acting like a creep. E.J. asks if she can't see what Rafe is doing. "Which part? The part where he's helping me? The part where he gives me hope, or the part where he's trying to help me find my daughter?" questions Sami. E.J. tries to convince Sami that Rafe is saying whatever he can to worm his way back into her life. Sami insists that she and Rafe are in love. E.J. becomes irate and accuses Rafe of being the reason that their daughter is missing. "He's the reason I know she's my daughter in the first place," she retorts.
E.J. believes too much time has passed. Sami urges him not to say that and vows never to give up on her daughter. E.J. tells her she's a fool, trying to convince her that they'll never see Sydney again because of her boyfriend.
