How to Cook Frozen King Crab

    • 1). Remove King crab from freezer, if it was purchased at an earlier date.

    • 2). Fill your steamer whether electric or pot with water, to about 2/3 of the way full. Add salt to taste. Salting the water first will help add flavor to the crab. Place the frozen King crab into the steamer.

    • 3). Steam for approximately 30 minutes. Depending upon how much crab you are cooking, you may need to steam a little longer.

    • 4). Let the steam settle down and crab cool, before removing the crab, to keep yourself from getting burned.

    • 5). Remove the King crab from the pot or electric steamer, once crab has cooled a bit. Place on paper towel to absorb the excess water from the crab. You may need to repeat a few times.

    • 6). Open crab up with thongs and remove crab from shell and place on platter. Sprinkle with seafood seasoning.

    • 7). In a small pot or microwave, melt the butter. Add a little seafood seasoning to butter. Use seasoned butter as a side condiment. Another option is to have seafood cocktail sauce as another side condiment.
