How to Connect Your 802.11n Card to an 802.11g Router

    • 1). Click on the "Windows" logo button. While still referred to as the "Start" menu, this button no longer reads "Start" as it did in previous versions of Windows. Instead, it has a picture of the Windows logo on it.

    • 2). Click "Connect To..."

    • 3). Click on the name of the wireless network that is being created by the 802.11g wireless router. This will be the name that you gave the router when you set it up (if you are the network administrator), or the name that someone else gave the network when he set it up (if that person wasn't you).

    • 4). Click "Connect" to connect your 802.11n wireless networking card to the network that is being created by the 802.11g wireless router.
