How to Reseal a Magic Soda Pop Can
- 1). Draw a black square on the paper that is a just a little bit larger than then pop can opening. Fill the square in with black ink.
- 2). Use the scissors to cut the square out, then trim the square into the exact shape of the pop can opening. Place the black square under the pop can tab. The paper should give the illusion that the can has been opened.
- 3). Create a small hole near the top of the can on the same side as the opening. Pour just enough of the pop through the hole so that the level in the can is slightly below the hole. Crush the can lightly so that is appears to have been used.
- 4). Perform the trick. Pick up the pop can while placing your thumb over the open hole. Tilt the can to show that no liquid comes out of the top, then begin to shake the can lightly. The pressure created by the light shaking will cause the can to go back to its original precrushed shape. Pause the shaking action intermittently to show the can moving back to its original shape.
- 5). Open the pop can. While working to pull the tab on the can, secretly move the black square of paper into your palm so that the audience does not see it. After palming the square, open the can and pour the soda into a glass.
