How to Identify the Xanax Pill
- 1). Look at the front of the pill. Xanax pills have the word "Xanax" or an "X" on the front of each pill.
- 2). Check the color of your pill. Xanax comes in six different colors; blue, white, yellow, green, white and orange.
- 3). Determine the shape of the pill. Xanax pills come in a different shape for each dosage.
- 4). Use the information you gathered and compare them to the list below:
Xanax .25 mg: White, oval pill with the word "Xanax" on one side and ".25" on the other.
Xanax .5 mg: Orange, oval pill with the word "Xanax" on one side and "0.5" on the other side.
Xanax 1 mg: Blue, oval pill with the words "Xanax" and "1.0" on one side and a line down the other.
Xanax 2 mg: White, rectangular pill with the word "Xanax" on one side and "2" on the other.
Xanax XR .5 mg: White, five-sided pill with an "X" on one side and "0.5" on the other.
Xanax XR 1 mg: Yellow, square pill with an "X" on one side and "1" on the other side.
Xanax XR 2 mg: Blue, circular pill with an "X" on one side and a "2" on the other.
Xanax XR 3 mg: Green, triangular pill with an "X" on one side and a "3" on the other side.
