How to Make Stamps for a Business

    • 1). Design your business stamp using graphics software. Incorporate a design that represents your company, such as your logo or your signature. Keep the design simple, using only black and white. Make the background black and use white to design what will be the raised section of your stamp.

    • 2). Set the size of the design to the appropriate dimensions for your stamp. Print it out onto a sheet of transparency paper. The background will be black and the signature or logo design will be transparent.

    • 3). Lay your sheet of glass down on your workspace. Place the printed transparency paper onto the glass and tape down the corners. Glue foam strips around the design in the shape of a square, leaving half-an-inch or 1 inch of space between the design that will show on your business stamp and the edges of foam. Lay the foam strips so they are tight against each other.

    • 4). Place the sheet of glass onto a UV light so the light will shine up into your business stamp design. Pour a layer of photopolymer resin in the foam square, covering the design. The foam should hold the resin in place.

    • 5). Turn on the UV light and expose the photopolymer resin to the light. Follow the directions that come with your photopolymer resin for exposure times. As the resin sits in the UV light, the light areas of your stamp design will harden and the other sections will stay liquid.

    • 6). Remove the glass plate from the light and remove the photopolymer resin. Wash away the unhardened resin under warm water, leaving behind your business stamp design. Use your craft knife to cut the excess areas that were exposed and any rough edges.

    • 7). Glue the stamp to the underside of a piece of wood or a stamp handle. Use it to stamp business documents with your signature or to create letterhead with your stamped logo.
