How to Get Rid of a Blue Stain on Sneakers

    • 1). Pour 1 tbsp. of laundry detergent into a bowl. Stir in 2 tbsp. of white vinegar.

    • 2). Moisten a cotton cloth with the vinegar and detergent solution. Blot the blue denim stains with the homemade stain remover to moisten the stain. Allow the solution to remain on the blue stains for 10 minutes.

    • 3). Dampen a cotton cloth with water and wring it out. Wipe the surface of the sneaker to remove the detergent solution and blue jean stain. Rinse the cloth, as needed, and continue to rinse off the sneaker.

    • 4). Treat any remaining blue stain with a paste made from 1 tsp. hydrogen peroxide and enough cream of tartar to give it a toothpaste-like consistency.

Stuff the inside of the sneakers with crumpled newspaper to hold the shape of the shoes. Set your sneakers in a location with good air circulation but no direct heat or light sources. Allow them to dry completely.
