Simple Steps to a Healthier Life

Lower your intake of junk food, alcohol, caffeine, and fast food.
Try to avoid butter or things cooked in butter.
Along with healthy eating, you've got to incorporate physical activity into your routine.
People who are physically active are shown to live longer, stronger, have less health problems, and be at a more appropriate body weight.
Simply getting 30 minutes of cardio at least 3 times a week will make a difference in your health.
If you can make it 5 times a week, that will make an even bigger impact on your life.
Try walking around your neighborhood after dinner, or before breakfast.
Buy a beginner's yoga DVD and start using it a few times a week.
Yoga is extremely beneficial to your overall health and wellness, and has the added benefit of reducing emotional stress.
Stay away from drugs and alcohol.
If you currently use recreational drugs, get into a rehab program to help yourself quit.
If you smoke, talk to your doctor about quitting solutions available to you.
If you drink more than a few drinks a week, cut back a bit.
A little alcohol on social occasions is not usually a problem, especially if you drink red wine.
Red wine actually has some heart health benefits.
Get regular check ups with your physician and routine blood screenings.
Prevention is another important part of living a healthy life.
If your doctor sees your regularly and tests your blood on a routine basis, any abnormalities will be caught early.
Early intervention is key in the onset of many diseases.
Your doctor will also monitor your blood pressure, weight, and overall well being.
