How to Apply Loose Eyeliner
- 1). Dip the tip of your brush into the eyeliner powder. Make certain you are using a small stiff-angled brush. If you would like to use the powder wet, first dip the tip of your brush in a bowl of water and then into the eyeliner powder.
- 2). Tap the brush against the side of the eyeliner container to remove any excess liner from your brush. Then, lightly dab the tip of your brush on a paper towel to remove any small clumps of powder or liquid liner that may be on your brush.
- 3). Start from the inner corner of your eye and draw a line along the lash line towards the outer corner of your eye. Draw small strokes as opposed to one straight line. If you are using the liner wet, slowly dab the eyeliner across the eyelash line. Do not pull your lid taut as this will make your line look distorted.
- 4). Reapply more powder on your brush, making sure to take off any excess liner and apply a second line beginning at the middle of your eye and moving towards the outer corner of your eye. This will act as a second coat to your liner and make eyeliner appear thicker towards the middle and ends of your eye.
- 5). Reapply more powder on your brush and apply a third coat of liner on your eye, focusing on just the outer corner. This will leave you with a line that gradually thickens towards the outer edge of your eye.
- 6). Apply more powder on your brush and draw or dab a line under your bottom lash line. Begin at the inner corner of your eye and move outwards to the outer corner.
- 7). Take a dry eye shadow brush and lightly brush it over your eyeliner. This will help smudge the line so it appears more smooth. If you are looking for more of a smoky look, continue dry brushing the liner and blending it slightly away from your eyes.
