Stop Smoking - The Benefits Of Taking Action
The benefits of stopping smoking..
After lots of years as a smoker I am finally clean of the nicotine addiction.
The first period after quitting was a bit hard, but I found my way to fight it.
As a smoker I tried lots of times to quit, a I tried every possible method you can imagine.
I tried alone, I tried with groups, I tried with help from my doctor and even with pills that should help me get rid of my damaging habit.
I spent lots of money to get rid of the addiction, but nothing worked.
What I found out was that I need to work on myself and my mindset.
After I did that, I found my own method that made me stop smoking, and I did not light up again after a while like I used to.
One part of the method used was looking at the benefits of not smoking, and here are a few of the main benefits I focused on.
Health benefits
My daughter always asked me to quit.
At the age of 6 she told me that the cigarettes would kill me, cause she read that on my package.
At that point I started thinking about her, who should take care of her if something happened to me? I know lots of things can happen to anyone in the daily life, but why do the damage to my own body myself.
I decided to do my part and stop smoking.
There is also one more huge benefit that I want to mention, the economical one.
I used to smoke up to 40 cigarettes a day in the worst periods and it did cost a lot of money.
I was paying money to destroy my own body and afterward I find that pretty amazing.
I used $30 a day buying cigarettes.
After I stopped smoking I saved the same amount for holidays.
I need to tell you that the money I saved from smoking now gives my daughter and me some great holidays and experiences.
Look at a few of the benefits from quitting and see if you can find any reason to continue smoking.
