Follow these directions and make a not-so-scary monster using a rock, paint, and a few craft supplies.

• Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
• Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

 

Materials Needed:

• Rock
• Paint
• Wiggle Eyes
• Pom-pom

• Craft Glue
• Paint Brush
• Scissors

Instructions:
Start out by searching for a rock. The rock can be any size or shape you like, you just might want to make sure it can sit up the way you want it to. Clean the rock and dry it completely.

Paint the rock whatever color you want your monster to be. Bright colors work wonderfully! It may take a few coats of paint. Let the paint dry.

Glue two wiggle eyes onto the head. I think it added a little more character to my monster to use 2 different sized eyes. Use paint to make any other features you want such as a mouth, nostrils, etc. You can also use any other craft supplies you have to make these features. For the monster's hair, I cut a small pom-pom almost in half and glued it to the top of the monster's head.
