Federal Grant Regulations
- Part 16 focuses on federal grant regulations addressing how the grant appeals board deals with appeals and disputes. The procedural process is designed to address disputes quickly, fairly and in an unbiased manner.
- Part 63 address regulations of awarding grants as they relate to the Community Service Act, Social Security Act, Communications Act or any authorities entrusted to the Assistant Secretary addressing policy and research activities.
- Part 92 addresses agreements, sub-awards, procedural requirements and exceptions between the grantee and state, local and tribal governments. For example, administration requirements defined in terms relating to, Part 92 addresses financial management concerns, and specific kinds of activities that can be sustained by a grant-by-grant basis.
- Part 95 pertains to federal grant regulations establishing a time limit of two years for states to file claims--for example, claiming federal financial participation in expenditures. Moreover, grants involved under Part 95 within the Code of Federal Regulations are for old age assistance, services to needy families, child welfare services, foster care and adoption services.
- This part illustrates unrestricted distribution of money provided by grants to social services providing aid in needy areas, as opposed to a particular program. Although not an exhaustive list, block grants are available to community services, community mental health services, and substance abuse and prevention treatments faculties
