- 1). Visit the federal government's on-line search engine, Grants.gov, to determine which housing grants are available. Searches can be made by choosing a keyword, a category, or one of the 26 federal grant-making agencies.
- 2). Review the guidelines to determine if you or your organization is eligible for funding. Housing grant opportunities are generally extremely specific, often offering grants to particular low-income regions or communities.
