How to Keep Pests Out of the Garden Home Remedy
- 1). Chop the garlic cloves until they are finely minced. When you chop the cloves, the natural oils seep out, which is what you need for the oil spray.
- 2). Measure out 2 teaspoons of mineral oil, and pour it into the bowl along with the chopped garlic. Let the combination soak for 24 hours.
- 3). Strain the mineral oil for the garlic using paper towels, and then place the garlic back into the bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of dish soap and 600 milliliters of water. Stir the mixture.
- 4). Pour the mixture into the spray bottle, shake it well and then spray all of the plants with this solution. This garlic spray is good for preventing invasions from spiders and flies.
- 1). Combine 1 liter of water and 1 teaspoon of baking soda in the spray bottle. Adding soap flakes helps the solution stick to the plant leaves so that it can work properly.
- 2). Pull off any dead, rotted leaves from the plant. There is no need to protect dead leaves and waste the spray when bugs and pests will not go after them.
- 3). Spray all of the leaves with a light mist.
This spray helps control and prevent mildew growth and black spot, even though they are not true "pests".
