A Wedding Favour and Table Seating Card in One
Deciding what to give guests as wedding favours is a headache for most couples.
Everyone wants to be different, think outside of the box, give something their guests will appreciate and hopefully use for a long time after the wedding.
Let's face it, most wedding favours end up somewhere in a closet or drawer, never to be looked at again.
The second factor influencing the choice of wedding favours is most certainly the price of the favours.
The wedding in itself is already a very costly exercise, from the wedding venue to the photographer, the decorations, wedding dress...
Not to mention the honeymoon at the exotic destination everyone dreams of! I am of the firm belief that a wedding favour is more of a gesture, a token of appreciation, not a way to splash out elaborate amounts of money to impress your guests.
So is there a solution somewhere between the personalized chocolate that will immediately be eaten and the engraved crystal glass that no normal couple can afford? In the almost 5 years that I've been involved with wedding planning the most creative wedding favours I've ever seen were very basic favours...
In the form of key-chains! Now before you think this sounds boring and predictable, let me elaborate: The bride and groom had personalised key-chains made for every guest, in the form of "mini-licence plates", complete with the individual emblems of the various provinces the guest were from! Not only were these practical favours that the guests could use again, it also acted as place cards indicating where each guest was sitting - talk about killing two birds with one stone! The couple was also clever enough to include their wedding date on the key-chain, making sure that guests will never forget their wedding anniversary! It's the finer details that go into your wedding planning, which will make a lasting impression!
