Georgia RV Parks Near I-20

      Interstate 20, or I-20, crosses the entire width of the state of Georgia, from the Alabama border in the west to the South Carolina border in the east, passing through Atlanta itself. Six Flags Over Georgia, as well as other attractions in Atlanta and the central Georgia cities of Covington, Thomson, and Augusta, all are close to I-20 exits. For RV enthusiasts looking to experience Georgia, a number RV parks also are conveniently located near the interstate.

    The Northshore Resort

    • The Northshore Resort is a 50-acre park on the banks of Lake Oconee, a mile from I-20 and 80 miles east of Atlanta near Oconee National Forest. RV sites feature full hookups, including wireless Internet access. The resort also offers cottages and cabins. Facilities include swimming pools, private beaches, boat slips with launch ramp, picnic pavilions and a 4,000-square-foot clubhouse. The park features a railroad theme, with 23 railroad cars throughout the park serving as park offices, shops, and playground features.

    • The Heritage Mobile Home and RV Park is about two miles from I-20 in the town of Augusta, Georgia. Attractions within a short drive include the Imperial Theatre, Old McDuffie Woods Recreation Parks, Lake Olmstead Baseball Stadium and the Augusta National Masters Golf Tournament. The park is pet-friendly, and each RV site offers offers full hookups with 50-amp electric, sewer and water, as well as cable TV and wireless Internet access. The RV sites are back-in only, but big-rig access is available at some of the sites.

    • Country Boys RV Park is 60 miles east of Atlanta and about 2 miles south of I-20 near Madison, Georgia. Nearby attractions include nature trails and Madison's historic downtown district.     • Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is a family-friendly RV park in the town of Bremen, just six miles from I-20. The attractions of Six Flags Over Georgia, Pine Mountain Gold Museum and the Georgia Aquarium are within an hour's drive. The park features playgrounds, hay-rides, swimming pools, miniature golf, a fitness center and a movie theatre. Each site is big-rig friendly with long pull-through access and each has 30- or 50-amp hookup as well as water, sewer, cable TV and wireless Internet connections.
