- 1). Place walk-off mats at doorways to prevent debris from being tracked onto the floor. This will help keep your Tarkett floor cleaner longer and prevent scratches.
- 2). Put protective felt or plastic caps on the feet of all furniture in the room. This helps prevent scratching and denting of the floor. Even with this protection, however, if you must move furniture, do so by lifting it rather than dragging it along the floor.
- 3). Sweep the Tarkett floor every day with a soft dust mop. Daily sweeping keeps surface dirt from settling deeper into the vinyl.
- 4). Mop your Tarkett floor weekly, or more often if the floor experiences heavy traffic and becomes soiled. The Tarkett company advises using warm water with a neutral detergent to mop these floors.
