How to Make a Tie Around Head Bow

    • 1). Cut a piece of ribbon at least 2-feet long. If you want a very floppy bow, cut it up to 3-feet long. Brush the ends with fray stop and let them dry for at least two hours.

    • 2). Comb your hair out so it is nice and smooth. Style your hair any way you would like. You may stop at combing it, or create braids, buns, low ponytails or pigtails. Finish styling completely before creating your tied headband.

    • 3). Place the center of the ribbon at the nape of your neck and bring the ends of the ribbon straight up either side of your head. Cross the right end of the ribbon over the left end and snug the single knot down against your scalp.

    • 4). Tie a bow, crossing the ribbons over each other from left to right, and pull it tight. Gently position the ribbon to the right or left, placing the bow at the side, or even the back, of your head.
