This Autumn Enjoy the Great Outdoors

A Camping Adventure to Remember

There is nothing better than a camping trip during the crisp season of early Autumn. You and your friends can a take a hike on the local trails near your house for a nice and relaxing afternoon. However, if you want to do something a little more adventurous, then you can head to the mountains for a longer camping weekend.

You will need to bring all the right gear and clothing in order to keep yourself comfortable and warm. A solid pair of hiking boots is essential for any camping trip. However, you will also want a sleeping bag, an emergency kit, canvas tents, and food. Try to arrange your packing list with friends before the trip so that you do not leave anything important behind. Each person can be responsible for their own items, and at least one thing that will be used collectively. This will help keep packs equally distributed and lighter.

If you are going to be hiking, you want to keep your gear to a minimum so that you can have better range and mobility on the trails. Always remember to bring plenty of water just in case you cannot find a source of clean, fresh water. A map, compass, or GPS tracking device is also a must for exploring any unfamiliar terrain. As a long as you keep these items with you, then your camping trip will be a blast.

Where Should You Go?

Australia is full of beautiful natural landscapes from the coastal plains to heavily wooded forests. You can easily pass a serene weekend at the beach camping under the stars. Gather up a few friends and drive to a secluded cove. You can have fun all weekend grilling, drinking, and swimming. Just remember to clean up your area before leaving. A good camper always knows to leave their natural surroundings just as they found it.

If you want to go on a trek that is a little more hard core, then head the Outback. However, you should only do this is you are fully prepared. You will need to bring plenty of water, extra gasoline, and other essentials to keep your group safe. You will also need to make sure that you are not in any of the protected Aboriginal reservations as this is not allowed. Outback camping is not for beginners unless they are accompanied by a large group and experience guide. However, if you are ready for a challenge, then spend a couple nights out in the bush for an unbelievable experience.

Camping is a great way to get away from city life and to experience nature at its finest. We are lucky enough to live in a beautiful country such as Australia where we can take advantage of all the different landscapes from beaches to the brush. There is no better place to go camping or hiking than our own backyard. If you are ready for an adventure, then you can be on your way tomorrow!
