How to Make Plastic Face Masks

Things You'll Need

Instructions

1

Knead 1 lb. of polymer clay for five minutes to remove any trapped air bubbles.
2

Roll out the clay into a sheet that is about 1/4-inch thick.
3

Drape the clay sheet over an aluminum mannequin head.
4

Press the clay onto the aluminum head to form out the eye, nose and mouth areas.
5

Cut off the excess clay and shape the mask using a clay knife. You can use the knife to cut off half of the clay to make a half face mask, or you can only cut out the eye areas and nose holes to make a full face mask.
6

Place the aluminum mannequin head onto an aluminum jelly roll tray.
7

Place the tray into a 200 degree Fahrenheit conventional oven for 15 minutes.
8

Allow the baked mask to cool completely.
9

Paint and decorate the mask with acrylic paint, beads, glitter glue and feathers.
