Nokia 2600 Classic Review

The Nokia 2600 Classic is a very simple, classic looking entry level phone that is super thin and easy to carry around.
The mobile phone measures 109.
6 mm x 46.
7 mm x 12 mm and weighs just 73.
2 grams.
The screen is quite small at 1.
7 inches but it is a good size for reading messages and looking at pictures.
Just beneath the screen is a large Navigational Pad, with a few call related buttons surrounding it.
Then beneath this is the keypad with decent sized keys making it easy to type fast without pushing multiple buttons.
A very clever feature of the Nokia 2600 is that you can use various different covers (called Xpress on covers) to change the look and colour of your phone.
The colour options are black, orange, beige and blue.
There is a music player on the phone that has decent sound.
Internal memory is 10 mega bytes, and this can not be increased.
Nokia have included a Radio as well.
The camera is only a basic VGA camera, which is one of the first camera's to be included on mobile phones.
Picture quality is not that high, but will be decent enough for most people, especially if you only use the camera for random infrequent pictures when a camera is not around.
The standard applications included on the 2600 Classic include calendar, calculator, alarm clock, personal organiser etc.
There is a built-in handsfree speaker, a converter and the ability to send sound files.
Internet connection is quite slow with only GPRS and EDGE.
However Nokia have included Bluetooth so that you can pair the 2600 Classic with third party devices.
In summary, the Nokia 2600 Classic is not the most advanced phone around, but it does have the basics and performs them to a relatively high level.
The phone could be so much better if just the camera and internet connection were improved.
